Scaling Amore Mio by Hitu Across the GCC
This modest fashion ecommerce case study explores how Adflow Digital helped Amore Mio by Hitu scale across GCC markets through brand development, ecommerce, cultural localisation and performance marketing.
Adflow Digital began working with Amore Mio by Hitu, an Indian made-to-order modest fashion brand specialising in premium abayas, jalabiyas, bishts and related contemporary modestwear. The brand today carries a substantial range across these categories, including hundreds of abaya and jalabiya styles.
The opportunity was significant, but so was the challenge. The brand was designing and producing garments in India for customers across the GCC, where abayas and jalabiyas are deeply connected with local culture, tradition and expectations around fit, presentation and service.
Adflow Digital’s role therefore extended far beyond advertising. We developed the website and brand identity, supported international logistics, helped refine sizing and product presentation and trained sales teams to communicate more effectively with Arab customers.
The objective was to build trust in the brand, create a premium ecommerce experience and develop a sustainable acquisition strategy capable of scaling across GCC markets.
The Challenge
The first challenge was cultural acceptance.
For many prospective customers, abayas and jalabiyas were not simply fashion products. They were familiar garments with established regional expectations around silhouette, sizing, fabric, modesty and presentation.
Amore Mio by Hitu therefore had to overcome an initial perception barrier: could an Indian brand genuinely understand and deliver modest fashion for GCC customers at a premium level?
The existing ecommerce experience also needed to accommodate the realities of made-to-order fashion. Standard sizing conventions were not always appropriate for garments such as abayas, where length, fit and drape are fundamental to the purchasing decision.
International fulfilment added another layer of complexity. Customers needed confidence that made-to-order garments could be purchased from India and delivered reliably across GCC markets.
The brand therefore needed to establish credibility across every stage of the journey, from the first advertisement to product presentation, sizing, communication and delivery.
The Strategy
Adflow Digital approached the engagement as a combination of brand development, ecommerce infrastructure, localisation and performance marketing.
We developed the brand identity, including its visual language, website experience and digital presentation, while ensuring the ecommerce store reflected the premium positioning of the collections.
Product photography direction was refined so garments were presented in a way that better communicated fabric, silhouette, detailing and drape, all important considerations for customers purchasing premium modestwear online.
Sizing was another major focus. Existing size charts were repeatedly reviewed and reworked to better reflect the purchasing requirements of abayas and related garments rather than relying on conventional western fashion sizing alone.
Adflow also worked with the sales team to improve communication with Arab customers, helping them understand cultural nuances, expectations and terminology that could influence the buying experience.
International logistics were developed alongside this work so the commercial experience could support growing demand from customers outside India.
Building the Campaign
Once the ecommerce and brand foundations were in place, Adflow Digital developed an ongoing Meta advertising strategy focused on GCC audiences.
Rather than treating the product simply as fashion exported from India, creative strategy concentrated on the garments themselves: their design, craftsmanship, detailing, fabrics and relevance to contemporary modest dressing.
Campaign performance continuously informed the creative direction, audience strategy and product emphasis.
The advertising also had to overcome the original trust barrier. Customers needed to see that the brand understood the category rather than merely manufacturing products for it.
As purchase data accumulated, the campaigns became increasingly informed by the behaviour of genuine GCC customers, enabling audience targeting, creative and product positioning to be refined using actual commercial results.
This created a feedback loop between advertising, ecommerce behaviour, customer communication and product presentation rather than treating Meta campaigns as an isolated acquisition channel.
The Impact
Amore Mio by Hitu’s growth demonstrates that entering a culturally specific market requires significantly more than translating advertising or expanding geographic targeting.
Adflow Digital helped develop the brand identity, ecommerce experience, international logistics, sizing framework, product presentation and sales communication required to support the brand’s GCC ambitions.
Performance marketing then provided the mechanism for scaling that foundation.
As customer confidence grew, so did the brand’s position within the market. Amore Mio by Hitu has developed into a fast-growing modest fashion label across GCC markets, with increasing interest extending beyond online customers to offline stockists, exhibitions and industry opportunities across the region.
The result is a business that has moved beyond simply exporting garments from India. It has established a distinct position within the GCC modest fashion market while continuing to grow online revenue at approximately 20% year on year and maintaining an average 7x ROAS.
Key Results
The ongoing performance marketing programme has maintained an average monthly ROAS of approximately 7x, while online revenue has grown to approximately US$600,000.
The business continues to grow at around 20% year on year while maintaining the same level of advertising efficiency.
What began as the challenge of establishing an Indian modest fashion brand with GCC audiences has developed into a growing international ecommerce business with customers across the region.
