Rebuilding Digital Acquisition, Tracking and Brand Momentum During a High-Pressure University Admissions Season
How Adflow Digital rebuilt acquisition infrastructure, strengthened attribution and shifted the admissions narrative for a renowned private university in India.
Adflow Digital began working with a renowned private university in India during the 2025-26 admissions cycle. With a 55-acre campus, modern infrastructure, extensive academic facilities and a strong focus on world-class education, the institution had significant strengths to communicate to prospective students.
However, shortly before its main admissions period, the university became the subject of widespread national news coverage and online criticism following a problematic public situation. At the same time, critical limitations in Meta advertising access, website tracking and CRM attribution were weakening the university’s digital acquisition infrastructure.
The challenge was therefore twofold: protect admissions momentum during a period of intense reputational pressure and rebuild the digital systems required to generate, measure and optimise student enquiries effectively.
The Challenge
The negative attention arrived at precisely the time prospective students and parents were beginning to make important admissions decisions.
Rather than allowing the admissions strategy to become defined by the situation, Adflow Digital focused on amplifying the university’s strengths including student achievements, infrastructure, academic opportunities and real student experiences.
At the same time, several technical problems were limiting acquisition performance.
The university did not have control of a critical Facebook asset, restricting access to important Meta advertising capabilities including Instant Forms.
Its admissions journey also suffered from significant tracking limitations. When prospective students moved from the admissions landing page to other sections of the university website, campaign UTM parameters could be lost before the enquiry reached the university’s education-focused CRM.
The CRM architecture could not be substantially modified during an already busy admissions season. The result was incomplete attribution, weaker conversion signals and limited visibility into which campaigns were ultimately producing successful admissions.
The Strategy
Adflow Digital approached the engagement as an acquisition and measurement problem rather than simply a media-buying exercise.
As a Meta Badged Partner, Adflow leveraged its relationship with Meta to help restore control of the university’s critical Facebook asset. This reopened access to Meta’s native conversion capabilities and enabled the development of a stronger lead-generation ecosystem.
Adflow then created a dedicated admissions landing experience structured around what prospective students actually needed before submitting an enquiry.
Another major gap was the admissions process itself. The complete journey from initial enquiry to application was not clearly explained online. Adflow helped write and structure this process, making the path from interest to application much clearer for students and parents.
Measurement was addressed without attempting a risky CRM rebuild during peak admissions. Adflow identified where attribution was being lost and leveraged its relationship with Google to implement Enhanced Conversions for Leads.
This strengthened the connection between advertising interactions and subsequent lead outcomes, giving Google Ads substantially better conversion data to learn from even where conventional UTM attribution remained incomplete.
Building the Campaign
Technology alone could not solve the university’s perception challenge.
Instead of repeatedly responding to the negative conversation surrounding the institution, Adflow redirected attention towards tangible evidence of student achievement, academic opportunity and life at the university.
Adflow helped write and produce a series of short films featuring students, their achievements, experiences and opportunities.
A broader admissions campaign was then developed around a simple idea:
The university should be presented as the beginning of the student’s future rather than simply another place to earn a degree.
Creative, landing pages and advertising were aligned around this positioning, supported by real students, genuine achievements and tangible academic and career opportunities.
The combination of stronger measurement, improved conversion infrastructure and more compelling creative significantly increased both the volume and quality of enquiries.
The Impact
The engagement extended considerably beyond media buying.
Adflow Digital helped restore control of a critical Meta asset, rebuilt the admissions landing experience, documented and simplified the admissions process, identified weaknesses in CRM attribution, implemented Enhanced Conversions for Leads and developed a new creative direction for the university’s admissions campaigns.
Most importantly, the strategy prevented a temporary period of negative national attention from defining the institution’s long-term admissions narrative.
By consistently amplifying student achievements, infrastructure, academic opportunities and positive university experiences, Adflow helped move the conversation back towards the reasons prospective students should consider the institution.
The result was a digital admissions system capable of generating hundreds of qualified enquiries every day, more than 20 daily admissions at peak and long-term acquisition economics approaching a 30x ROAS.
Key Results
During peak admissions activity, the campaigns generated 400+ qualified leads per day and 20+ converted admissions per day, while maintaining an exceptionally low cost per successful admission. Based on the value of a student’s first academic year, the campaigns delivered an estimated 10x ROAS, increasing to approximately 30x ROAS when considering the value of a typical three-to-four-year student relationship.
